Guided by an NASM personal trainer and Certified Recreation Therapist, you will find the movement pattern that hits all your goals.  From outdoor adventures to mindfulness practices, our activities are tailored to suit your individual needs.

How does Single Step Wellness know how to lead me to being my best?

Single Step Wellness is the creation of me, Gwen Gates - a recovering perfectionist, struggling Type A personality and binge/emotional eater. 

I get overwhelmed and anxious in social situations and you can be certain - I overthink even the smallest of tasks. 

I have overcome my own personal challenges with moving/exercising to get me the body I think will lead me to happiness only to get so exhausted and sore from the complicated and rigid workout routines that I give up and don't exercise for months! 

I have come home from a long day of work/school eating "perfectly" throughout the day only to "blow it all" by bingeing on anything (especially - chips & chocolate).

I've been where you are. 

Confused, overwhelmed, exhausted and defeated. 

We each have our own journey but our goal is ultimately the same -

to be our happiest and healthiest selves.

My education, work and life experience has led me to meet some amazing people who have overcome immense challenges. 

Learning about Intuitive Eating, The Health at Every Size movement and others has given me insights and mental space for new ways to think and be. 

I use creative and "out of the box" thinking to help you discover the steps that will get YOU to overcome YOUR challenges and live YOUR best life.
