We recognize that a woman's body changes throughout life. How does Single Step Wellness know how to lead me to being my best?

Single Step Wellness is the creation of me, Gwen Gates - 

 A woman shaped by both challenge and resilience—I am navigating the complexities of menopause, living with endometriosis, and learning to recognize patterns like codependency and emotional eating.

I understand what it feels like to be deeply attuned to others, sometimes at the expense of myself, and am now learning to turn that same care inward.

My relationship with my body and food has been a journey—at times complicated, driven by emotion, stress, or survival—but also a source of growing awareness and strength.

 

I, like you, am not defined by these experiences; instead, they’ve given me insight, empathy, and a deeper connection to what it means to heal.

I am a wellness coach, personal trainer, and recreation therapist dedicated to helping women navigate real-life challenges with strength and compassion—because I’ve lived them myself. 

 

I understand how deeply our physical, emotional, and mental health are connected.

My journey hasn’t been perfect, but it has been transformative.

It’s taught me how to rebuild trust with my body, develop sustainable habits, and shift from simply coping to truly thriving.

That lived experience shapes the way I support others—with empathy, honesty, and practical tools that create lasting change.

I work with women who are ready to reclaim their strength, energy, and sense of self.
